Once upon a time, there was a gentleman of a certain age who came to CheTica Ranch to stay while he got a mouthful of new teeth. At first, he was very happy but taking a little time to get used to the altitude, or so he thought. As the time passed, he got his temporary teeth, but was running out of air at night, so much so he could no longer lie down to sleep. He went to visit Lake Arenal, but had to return early because there wasn’t enough air there either. He felt as if he might die in this pretty little country far from home.
So he asked Lorena & Ruben if they knew a Doctor he might see very soon. And they did know one who was a personal friend who agreed to meet him at the Emergency Room of one of the best Hospitals in San Jose, in two hours. ( Don’t try this anywhere except CheTica Ranch )
And the Doctor told him he may have a heart attack along the line and must stay in the Hospital awhile. And so, he stayed two nights and was able to find air enough to breathe, which was there all along. He was able to return to his home country and looks very much forward to coming back to get his real teeth and to where he could be unexpectedly and seriously sick and still be made well through the network Lorena and Ruben have created because they are very serious loving and caring persons.
I have made 15-20 trips to San Jose, mostly for dental/medical and if there was a better/cheaper way to do this I’d have found it long ago. The decision I made to stay at CheTica is one for which I will always be glad and it will be my choice even if I was not having medical/dental work. I feel confident in their dedication to their guests and also in their recommendations in case I need additional services. Gosh, over 20 years of experience in the Medical Field, says it all.
Staying by yourself in a San Jose hotel, without a Nurse to look after you, having to take taxis and eating meals out, is NOT a way to save money. Not only is CheTica a bargain, but the care there is unsurpassable. I’m usually a very adventurous traveler, prefering to rough it. However, when you are having a surgical/dental procedure is NOT the time for anything but secure quality care. I’m extremely budget minded and CheTica is one of the very best travel bargains I’d ever found.
Thank you so much for your care and lovely hospitality. This place is truly a home away from home. God has blessed you in a unique Love Ministry. I’m sure He is very happy with you.

Thank you for reading my book, I still don’t have any idea why I did it, perhaps, our Lord wanted me for a special message to you. Nevertheless, I always understood my destiny and that there was a reason for me to come to recover from my surgical procedure at CheTica.
